Disparate Bodies - Network Performance
We just had a 3 way network performance between New York City (NYU), Belfast (SARC) and Stanford (CCRMA) as part of the NIME 2007 Conference. Pedro Rebelo was playing the piano at NYU, Fransizka Shroeder was at SARC and Mark Applebaum was in Stanford. The main stage and audience was located at NYU. The remote participants were represented through high quality audio, avatars and audio modulated robots. The concept was developed by Pedro Rebelo, Alain Renaud, Juan Pablo Caceres and Tom Davis and is likely to be re-used for other performances around the world. I will keep you posted when we get photos and videos of the event.
