Networked Performance Study
We are embarking in a comprehensive networked performance study at SARC. The study aims to understand better the gestures and the essential cues that need to be exchanged between geographically displaced musicians. We will first have 3 musicians play a pre-determined repertoire in the same space and analyse their gestures and modes of communications. We will then separate them in various rooms and simulate “real” networked conditions to see how they cope. They will be filmed and recorded for further analysis. I will make some of the footage available on this site as soon as it is ready.
